The Distance Formula

In this lesson, the student learns the distance formula. The foundation of the Pythagorean Theorem is used to find the distance formula. The student is given examples on how to find the distance between two points using the distance formula.

This lesson shows the student how to use the Pythagorean Theorem in more advanced diagrams. An application to baseball is also used to show the distance from home plate to the pitcher’s mound.


Pythagorean Theorem: Converse

This lesson explains the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem. The student learns how to determine if a set of three numbers constitutes a Pythagorean triple.
