Algebra A Math: Absolute Value Inequalities

In this topic, the student is introduced to absolute value inequalities. This series of four lessons presents the student with a sequence of lessons that show how to solve absolute value inequalities.

In this topic, the student is introduced to absolute value inequalities. This series of four lessons presents the student with a sequence of lessons that show how to solve absolute value inequalities.

Absolute Value Inequalities I

In this lesson, the student learns how to determine the solution of absolute value inequalities. The student learns how to find the number of intervals in the solution of an absolute value inequality. Number lines are used to show the student the logic behind the solutions.

Absolute Value Inequalities II

This lesson shows the student how to solve slightly more complex absolute value inequalities. The student sees how to reduce the more complex absolute value inequalities to the more basic absolute value inequalities they already know how to solve.

Absolute Value Inequalities III

In this lesson, the student learns how to solve even more complex absolute value inequalities. Again, they learn how to first reduce the absolute value inequality to a more basic example.

Absolute Value Inequalities IV

This lesson demonstrates even more complex absolute value inequalities. The student uses the basis of the previous lessons in order to find the solution to these inequalities.
